Joe Demers (Denver)
 |
|
Joe & Nelle are known for being very versatile dancers ranging from modern Jazz to vintage Blues to performance Lindy Hop. They possess an aesthetic quality that flourishes as a dance couple. They continually train, travel & teach worldwide and pride themselves with basing their dancing on original styles while continually striving for new ideas. They believe that Blues is a very eclectic term & dance. Within each genre and style of music there are rhythms & moods that change the blues aesthetic & connection. The constant change & freedom within the music really attracts them to the dance. Blues is a feeling that comes from within. It’s an expression and release of emotions & personality. When you dance with a partner that can match you, you'll feel like the only dancer in the room… just you, your partner, the music, & the floor.

Whitton Frank (Los Angeles)

|
Whitton started dancing at the tender age of eight, when she was enrolled in a ballet class. As the years progressed so did her love
of dance. Whitton is
originally from breezy San Francisco, but learned to blues dance at college in Pittsburgh, PA. It has been her goal to bring a little bit
of the "Pittsburgh Dirty Blues" to California. She has DJed various events in Pittsburgh including End of the Month Blues and Saturday
Late Night Blues. She loves both classical and contemprary
blues music and artists and tries to reflect that when she DJs.
